Portrait of midwife Deb Puterbaugh

For over 47 years, Deb has served women who are giving birth to our future.

As a midwife licensed in California, she has supported thousands of women through pregnancy and birth. She’s an internationally recognized voice for maternal-child health reform, a midwifery educator, and a community organizer — and a grandmother who lives between Northern California and Baja Mexico with her family.

Deb believes birth works. When a first-time mom understands her body and learns to trust herself, fear gives way to confidence. Everything here — the free series, the podcast, the guides — exists to help you feel calm, informed, and steady on the way to birth.
